Position Summary

We are seeking a Press Brake Operator (Machinist) for our client in Huntsville, AL (35811). In this role, you will set up, operate, and perform basic programming on machines used in the production of hollow metal doors. Workstations may include equipment that bends, notches, punches, forms, or straightens frame parts. Press Brake experience is preferred but not required — our client will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machines according to preventative maintenance procedures.

• Follow job orders and daily travelers to meet customer specifications.

• Identify and assemble door components as outlined in the SDI handbook.

• Record production and quality data, making adjustments as needed.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Support company goals by performing additional duties as assigned.

• Participate in the company Safety Program.

• Train on multiple machining workstations as proficiency increases.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• At least 1 year of prior manufacturing experience required.

• Must pass a measurement test down to 1/16 inch.

• Basic math, computer, and fraction/decimal conversion skills required.

• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs.

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

• Steel-toe boots required.

• Must pass background check (No drug screening required).

• Forklift use may be required.

Schedule & Pay

• Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Thursday, 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM (10-hour shifts).

• Overtime: Possible on Fridays.

• Pay: $17.50/hr.
