    Description

    What you'll be doing

    • Champion a "Safety First" culture by modeling safe practices and promoting safety awareness across the team.
    • Set up and operate Amada and Mitsubishi press brake machines to bend sheet metal to specification.
    • Read and interpret prints, diagrams, and work orders to make proper machine and tooling adjustments.
    • Retrieve and load programs using the machine computer in accordance with drawings and CAD/CAM files.
    • Partner with QC Inspectors on First Article Inspections and correct defects as needed to maintain quality standards.
    • Perform routine machine maintenance per the Operation Manual to ensure optimal equipment performance.
    • Accurately complete fabrication records and traveler papers.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area, machine, and tooling.

    What you'll have

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school certificate preferred.
    • 3–4 years of experience operating Amada press brakes or similar equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications, and diagrams.
    • Strong shop math skills and units of measurement knowledge.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team environment.

    Physical requirements and work environment

    • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods in an active manufacturing facility.
    • Ability to regularly lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to electrical hazards.
    • Exposure to moderate-to-high noise levels and varying temperatures.

    Safety requirements

    • PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots).
    • Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.
    • Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training.
    • Organization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.
