The Press Brake Operator plays a crucial role in the metal fabrication process by efficiently operating press brake machinery. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a solid understanding of blueprints, and adherence to safety protocols to produce high-quality metal components. The operator also supports machine maintenance and tooling adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Set up press brake machines according to job specifications
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for fabrication
- Operate press brake machinery efficiently and safely
- Assist with routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Adjust tooling to meet specific bend and angle requirements
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating press brake machines
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes
