We are currently seeking an experienced** **Press Brake Operator to join our precision sheet metal manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating press brake equipment and a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, blueprint reading, measurements, tooling, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate press brake machines to form precision sheet metal components.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Select and install appropriate punches, dies, and tooling.
Set machine parameters including bend angles, back gauge positions, and tonnage.
Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, protractors, and other precision measuring tools.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and consistency.
Work with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel.
Perform basic calculations involving bend allowances, dimensions, and tolerances.
Identify and report quality issues or equipment problems.
Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
Follow production schedules while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
Previous** **Press Brake Operator experience in precision sheet metal fabrication preferred.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings.
Experience setting up press brake tooling and machine parameters.
Strong knowledge of sheet metal bending and forming processes.
Experience using precision measuring instruments.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Previous experience with CNC press brakes is a plus.
