Press Brake Operator

Position: Press Brake Operator

Location: Raleigh, NC

Pay: $20 to $24/hour

Experience: 6 months to 2 years of press brake experience.

Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 3:00pm to 1:00pm

Greene Resources is seeking a Press Brake Operator to join a growing and dynamic team! 

Job Description:

• Operates press brake machines to bend and form metals to meet customer specifications.
• Follow and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Confers with the press brake setup person regarding how the job is to be run and what dimensions to maintain.
• Performs back gauge calibration and resets counters.
• Runs the first piece and takes it to an inspection or certified operator for approval.
• After 1st piece approval, adjusts machines if necessary, seeking assistance from the Set-up Person when needed, and run the job.
• Using measuring equipment, checks specified dimensions on parts and plots them on SPC charts to track the quality of the product and process.
• Fills out all required production paperwork and records.
• Maintains work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:   

• Must be able to read complex blueprints and perform complex mathematical calculations.
• Advanced knowledge of press brakes and use of basic quality inspection equipment, including calipers, protractors, and micrometers.
• Ability to follow instructions, read, and write.
