Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Press Brake Setup/Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating structural press brakes to bend, shape, and form metal sheets and plates according to blueprint specifications. If you have a strong background in precision metal fabrication and a sharp eye for quality control, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Setup & Operation: Perform complex setups, select appropriate dies and tooling, and operate press brakes to fabricate parts according to engineering specifications.

  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to determine bend sequences, dimensions, and material requirements.

  • Quality Assurance: Check and verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, protractors, and height gauges) to ensure adherence to strict tolerances.

  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues or material defects to minimize downtime.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety standards, including proper machine guarding and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in press brake setup and operation within a precision metal fabrication or stamping environment.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in reading blueprints, understanding flat layouts, and calculating bend allowances.

  • Measurement: Expert ability to use manual precision measuring tools to inspect your own work.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift/manipulate metal parts safely (up to 50 lbs).

  • Attributes: High attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and a dependable work ethic.
