Press Brake Operator Pay Rate and Hours:
- $18/hr
- Monday- Friday 7:30 am - 4 pm
Press Brake Operator Job Description:
- Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- This role requires attention to detail, precision, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced machine shop environment.
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal and plate to required dimensions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and shop drawings.
- Select proper tooling and machine settings for each job.
- Measure, inspect, and verify part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Perform adjustments, offsets, and program edits as needed to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Press Brake Operator Skills:
- Previous experience operating press brakes
- Above average math skills
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, and bending characteristics
- Ability to be on your feet for multiple hours a day
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
