Press Helper – 3rd Shift
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM
Pay Rate: $26.00–$28.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time
Location: New Berlin, WI

Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable Press Helper to join a busy printing operation on 3rd shift. The Press Helper works alongside the Press Operator to support the setup, operation, and maintenance of printing presses while helping ensure production runs efficiently and finished products meet quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing, production, machine operation, or printing experience who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and is interested in developing their skills in the printing industry.

Key Responsibilities
Press Setup & Production Support
  • Assist the Press Operator with press setup, including loading paper, preparing plates, and making machine adjustments under supervision.
  • Ensure paper, ink, coatings, and other required materials are available and properly stocked before production begins.
  • Assist with machine adjustments to maintain consistent print quality and production specifications.
  • Support the Press Operator throughout production runs to help maintain efficient workflow and meet production deadlines.
Material Handling
  • Load and unload paper, ink, and other production materials as needed.
  • Move materials to and from the press area safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with paper and ink changes during press runs to minimize downtime.
  • Keep necessary materials organized and readily available for upcoming jobs.
Quality Control
  • Monitor printed materials during production and identify defects such as misalignment, color inconsistencies, registration issues, or paper jams.
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure finished products meet job specifications.
  • Immediately communicate quality concerns or equipment issues to the Press Operator.
  • Assist with maintaining consistent quality throughout the production run.
Machine Maintenance & Cleanliness
  • Assist with routine cleaning and basic maintenance of printing equipment.
  • Help with tasks such as lubricating machine components and replacing rollers or blankets as directed.
  • Keep the press, work area, and surrounding production space clean and organized.
  • Assist with maintaining equipment in good working condition and reporting maintenance concerns.
Safety & Teamwork
  • Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
  • Work closely with Press Operators, supervisors, and other production team members.
  • Follow instructions carefully and work efficiently to meet daily production goals.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and attendance.
Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, printing, or warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
  • Ability to safely handle paper, ink, and other production materials.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn printing press operations.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.
