Press Machine Helper /Operator
Type: Full-time, temp to hire
Pay: $17-$18 / hour depending upon experience
Schedule: 7am-4:30pm, Monday – Thursday; 7am-11am Fridays
OT: Optional overtime available as needed
Location: Euclid
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Experience in a factory setting, stamping or any type of production equipment preferred
- Prior press machine operator experience a plus
- Dexterity and comfortable working with hands a plus
- Good communication skills
- Quality oriented, attention to detail
- Safety oriented
- Self-starter and work with minimal supervision after initial training period
- Able to stand on feet and be mobile for duration of shift (physically demanding)
Responsibilities / Activities:
- Assist large press operators in loading and unloading materials; experience with cranes and other lifting equipment a plus
- Operate press machines to create products according to specifications
- Keep daily basic production/cycle counts, computer data entry for scanning and logging production counts
- General labor activities such as routine cleaning, trash removal, basic groundskeeping or assisting in other production activities.
Education/ Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in the stamping industry or piece/part manufacturing is preferred
- Computer literacy (Windows/Office environment)
Physical Demands:
- Standing and walking – 95%; Sitting – 5%.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
