Paper Press Machine Operator
South County / St. Louis, MO
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Paper Press Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in St. Louis, Missouri. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining paper press equipment used in the production of high-quality packaging products. The ideal candidate will be committed to safety, quality, and production excellence while contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
Schedule & Pay
- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Schedule: Rotating shift schedule
- Pay:$18.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate paper press machinery according to job specifications and production schedules.
- Read and interpret work orders, production tickets, and manufacturing specifications.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Monitor machine performance during operation and make necessary corrections.
- Inspect finished products for quality, appearance, dimensions, and compliance with customer requirements.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report major mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
- Accurately document production output, downtime, quality inspections, and material usage.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished goods.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Experience operating paper press, printing press, packaging, or converting equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documentation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift materials as required.
