Shift: Must be available for assigned shift, including overtime and weekend work as required. 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM–11:15 PM | $14.42/hr. 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM | $14.27/hr.
A manufacturing facility in Jamestown is hiring Press Operators to join its production team. This hands-on position is responsible for operating compaction presses used to manufacture metal components. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to producing quality parts while meeting production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities: -Set up, operate, and monitor metal compaction presses -Load powder materials and ensure proper machine operation throughout production -Inspect parts during production to verify quality and dimensional accuracy -Perform routine machine adjustments to maintain product specifications -Remove finished parts and prepare them for the next stage of production -Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or production issues -Complete required production and quality documentation accurately -Perform basic cleaning and routine maintenance of press equipment -Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area -Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies -Cross-train in other production departments as needed
Requirements: -Ability to pass a drug screen and background check -Previous manufacturing or press operation experience is preferred but not required -Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues -Ability to read work instructions and use basic measuring devices such as calipers and gauges -Basic math and problem-solving skills -Ability to stand for the duration of the shift -Ability to regularly lift 20–40 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. -Comfortable working in a dusty, noisy, and non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment -Reliable transportation and consistent attendance -Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
