Description
Our client, located in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Press Operator. A Press Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining printing presses. Job Responsibilities: - A Press Operator will set up and operate flexographic printing presses to print designs or lettering on rolls of paper stock.
- The Press Operator will check viscosity and P.H.
- This position will read job orders, prepare and mount ink cylinders, and secure the cylinders inside the press.
- The Flexographic Printing Press Operator will operate the press through computer technology and adjust speed, tension, and alignment as needed.
- The Press Operator will inspect for imperfections or off-center impressions.
- May mix inks or dyes to produce desired colors.
Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Previous experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably with printing press operations Strong job stability and a demonstrated commitment to previous roles Enthusiasm to learn and grow within the printing industry Flexibility to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed Basic mechanical, math, and computer skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Forklift certification preferred
Additional Details: Pay: $20 Shift: 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM, Monday through Friday This is a 90-day temp-to-hire position with benefits available upon conversion
