The Press Operator 3 is responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining gravure or multi-color offset presses to produce high-quality printed materials with critical color and registration accuracy.
They review job specifications, perform make-ready tasks such as mounting plates and calibrating presses, and make necessary color corrections to ensure quality standards are met.
The role involves cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining equipment, performing minor repairs, and conducting periodic maintenance as recommended.
Qualifications include comprehensive knowledge of printing techniques, materials, and safety protocols, as well as skills in complex mechanical procedures, interpreting job specifications, and precise alignment using measurement tools.
