Job Description

This role involves operating manufacturing presses and related machinery in a modern, climate-controlled facility. You will set up and run press equipment, perform minor mechanical repairs, and ensure products meet quality standards through careful inspection and adherence to production procedures.

Responsibilities

+ Operate press machines and other production equipment safely and efficiently according to established procedures.

+ Set up presses and related machinery, including adjusting settings, installing tooling, and preparing materials for production runs.

+ Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments on machines to maintain smooth and continuous operation.

+ Monitor production processes to ensure consistent quality, identifying and correcting issues promptly.

+ Conduct quality control checks on finished and in-process products, following defined standards and documentation requirements.

+ Use hand tools and power tools to support machine setup, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.

+ Follow manufacturing and assembly instructions to meet production targets and deadlines.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.

+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to communicate equipment issues, production concerns, and improvement ideas.

Essential Skills

+ Demonstrated experience in press operating within a manufacturing or production environment.

+ Machine operating experience with the ability to run and monitor industrial equipment safely.

+ At least 1 year of manufacturing or production experience.

+ Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments.

+ Quality control experience, including inspecting products and identifying defects.

+ Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing setting.

+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in assembly work within a manufacturing environment.

+ Comfort working with production schedules and meeting output targets.

+ Willingness to learn new equipment and processes as needed.

+ Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
