Our client is looking for a Press Operator to join their team. Our client is a manufacturer of galvanizing kettles and related products to the continuous strip and hot-dip galvanizing industries. They manufacture specialty horizontal and vertical cylinders, tanks and DOT and ASME pressure vessels to transport pressurized gases and liquids in various capacities.
The Press Operator will be responsible for properly bending all of the kettle plates used in production.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 1+ years of industrial or manufacturing exp.
- Able to read a blue print.
- Ability to operate a crane preferred.
- Be able to read a tape measure.
- Ability to transfer measurements from a drawing onto a steel plate in the form of a layout.
- Welding ability preferred.
- Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read fractions.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Operating press machines.
- Ensure final dimensions are accurate per the drawing.
- Move plates around with the assistance of a crane.
- Bending plates used in production.
- Lifting objects up to 50lbs regularly.
- Other duties as assigned.
