    Job Description

    Press Operator
     
    Summary/Objective
    This position ensures the proper set up of equipment and verifies quality of products through thorough assessment and analyses using specific procedural standards.
     
    Essential Functions
    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    1. Performs buildup of material in accordance with work order instructions.
    2. Programs, loads, and operates the press using standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and measuring devices.
    3. Performs inspections of laminates and finished products to determine conformance with specifications.
    4. Processes associated documents, including work orders, process tags, rework tags and nonconforming material documents.
    5. Preforms press maintenance.
    6. Follows safety measures and guidelines.
    7. Maintains 5S activities in the department.
    8. Works under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and techniques.
    9. Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors.
    Required Education and Experience
    1. HS Diploma or GED
    2. Possesses good math and computer skills
    3. Demonstration strong attention to detail
    4. Good communication and teamwork skills
    5. Prior factory, press and tow motor experience a plus

    This job operates in manufacturing environment.
     
    Physical Demands
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    The employee must stand 8-12 hours per day and is occasionally required to bend, squat, climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds. 
     
    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position which operates on 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday. Overtime and weekend work may be required as needed.
     
    Supervisory Responsibility
    This position requires no supervisory responsibility.
     
    Travel
    No travel is expected for this position.

    Pay Rate
    $18.00 per hour
    Included in monthly bonus program.
