Press Operator

The Press Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining press equipment used in the production of motor components. This role ensures parts are produced efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards and production schedules.

Job Duties:

• Set up and operate mechanical or hydraulic press machines according to specifications
• Load raw materials and position components accurately for pressing operations
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances
• Perform routine measurements using gauges, calipers, and other inspection tools
• Follow work instructions, blueprints, and job travelers to complete tasks accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on press equipment
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production issues to leadership
• Ensure proper documentation of production counts, scrap, and downtime
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
• Run parts on the saw in accordance with the paperwork
• Rotate between various department work centers as required and perform other related duties as assigned.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and team goals

Knowledge/ Experience:

• Experience operating press machines in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with motor manufacturing or similar industries
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
• Experience using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic blueprints
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to operate or learn to operate industrial equipment safely
• Strong attention to detail and quality

In this business area, our focus is the market of single phase motors for durable consumer goods, such as washing machines, air conditioners, water pumps, among others.

Paints and Varnishes

In this area, which includes liquid paints, powder paints, and electro-insulating varnishes, we have a very clear focus on industrial applications in Brazil and are expanding to Latin America and other regions.
