Press Operator – Metal Stamping | 2nd Shift

Location: Valley City, OH
Pay: $19.80/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift

Hire Sync is hiring a Press Operator for an established metal stamping manufacturer in Valley City, OH. This is a hands-on production position operating a single-hit metal stamping punch press to produce quality metal components while meeting established production and safety standards.

This role is a great fit for someone with manufacturing, press operating, machine operating, or metal stamping experience who is comfortable with physical work and takes safety and quality seriously.

What You’ll Do

• Operate a single-hit metal stamping punch press
• Load, position, and remove materials and finished parts throughout the production process
• Produce metal stampings according to work orders and established production rates
• Remain at and monitor the press at all times while equipment is operating
• Perform in-process inspections according to established quality control plans
• Use attribute and variable gauges as required to inspect finished parts
• Collect Statistical Process Control (SPC) data when required
• Verify that parts remain within specifications throughout the production run
• Stop production and report any nonconforming parts or process issues
• Report mis-hits, equipment problems, or production concerns to the Production Supervisor
• Accurately record labor time and quantities produced
• Coordinate material, scrap removal, and finished product movement with Material Handlers
• Complete safety checks and inspect equipment before operation
• Verify press and tooling readiness prior to production
• Support basic press maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized

What We’re Looking For

• Previous manufacturing, machine operating, press operating, or metal stamping experience preferred
• Comfortable operating production machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to safety and quality
• Ability to perform repetitive, hands-on production work
• Ability to complete basic quality inspections and accurately record production information
• Good communication skills
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Ability to follow work instructions and established production procedures
• Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment while on the shop floor

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and manipulate up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand frequently throughout the shift
• Ability to reach, bend, push, and pull to place or retrieve materials
• Ability to safely load, operate, and unload production equipment
• Comfortable performing repetitive and physically active manufacturing work
