Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or production training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Ability to work safely in manufacturing and production environments.
• Ability to follow written work instructions, production procedures, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain productivity and consistent quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate basic production equipment when required.

Job Duties

• Operate extrusion press equipment in the stick electrode manufacturing process.
• Perform quality inspections throughout your shift to ensure products meet specifications.
• Use scanners and other production tools to track materials and production activity.
• Safely handle materials and finished products.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while meeting production goals.
• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that may be hot, dirty, and physically demanding.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred.
• Experience operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, or meeting production goals is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement practices, or workplace safety procedures is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are well positioned for success as a Press operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Comfortable working in a hot industrial environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout an 8+ hour shift.
• Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
• Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

As a Press operator you will support daily manufacturing operations by assembling products, operating production equipment, inspecting finished goods, packaging materials, maintaining production standards, and following established work instructions. You will help keep production areas clean and organized, monitor product quality, meet production goals, and contribute to safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
