Press Operator

Job description:
Sheet metal Fabricator (Set up and operator on brake press) 1 ^st & 2 ^nd Shift
Job Responsibilities:

• Program and operate CNC/servo-driven panel benders and press brakes
• Operate a handheld overhead crane
• Operate Forklift
• Inspects parts as required by the quality inspection plan and verifies conformance to blueprint specifications
• Reports any manufacturing issues to the supervisor and/or the quality department
• Accurately completes job documentation as per company procedure and/or customer requirements
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area
• Perform work in an organized and productive manner to achieve target completion dates
• Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates or rulers

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years minimum Prior manufacturing experience running CNC, servo-driven, all-electric, hydraulic, and mechanical press brake and/or panel-bending machine is required .
• Knowledge of CNC Laser, Turret Punch Press, Hard Tooling Press, PEM Machine, and saws are not required but preferred.
• Ability to handle physical workload, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge and experience using basic inspection tools (mics, calipers, gages, scale, etc. and reading blueprints
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with shop math
• Knowledge of GD&T is desired, but not a requirement
• Programmable logic controllers: 5 years (Required)
• Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Required)
