A new project lands. You confirm specs with the design team, select the right press, complete your machine setup, and run samples to verify color and registration. During production, you watch every sheet, make micro-adjustments, and perform maintenance to avoid downtime. You wrap by inspecting the finished batch, logging materials and output, and resetting your space for what’s next.

Core responsibilities

• Set up and run a range of printing machines for best-in-class output.
• Monitor in-run quality to maintain color accuracy and design consistency.
• Execute routine maintenance and diagnose/troubleshoot press issues.
• Collaborate closely with design to translate specs into production-ready runs.
• Perform end-of-line quality checks and adjust as needed.
• Uphold safety standards; keep the work area clean and organized.
• Capture detailed records for production runs and material consumption.

Qualifications & strengths

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical printing coursework a bonus.
• Background as a printer/press operator (or similar) preferred.
• High attention to detail; steady under deadline pressure.
• Experience with multiple printing methods and related equipment.
• Mechanical know-how and a knack for problem-solving.
• Clear communicator who collaborates well on a team.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long stretches.
