Pressure Vessel Sales Engineer

Job Summary

This position supports corporate growth initiatives in the ASME Code Markets by building relationships and leveraging technical expertise to convert opportunities into orders. The goal is to enhance existing relationships, develop new ones, and position the company for growth in the Pressure Vessel Market.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the company's pressure vessel expertise and stay updated with industry trends and regulations.
• Collaborate with the Market Area Manager to review business segment strategy and monitor progress of business plan goals.
• Maintain and grow customer relationships at all levels, including Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations personnel, with intermittent travel required.
• Present the company's technical design and manufacturing capabilities to customers.
• Provide commercial and technical qualification of new opportunities and conduct technical reviews of customer drawings and specifications.
• Ensure clarity of customer needs and communicate them to the internal team.
• Assist in establishing a fair market sales price for proposals and follow corporate procedures for proposal review.
• Submit proposals to clients and follow up on their status to maximize work volume.
• Accurately manage and maintain customer and quote information.
• Partner with Marketing and other teams on the development and launch of new services and offerings.
• Review actual costing versus estimates to evaluate performance.
• Attend industry-specific meetings and trade shows for networking opportunities.
• Attend training seminars and continuing education as necessary for personal and professional development.
• Other duties as required to support corporate sales, service, and support objectives.

• Prior experience with ASME pressure vessels preferred
• 2 or 4-year technical degree preferred but not required
• Prior experience in sales preferred but not required
