Description:

Preventive Maintenance- 2nd Shift

12-month hourly employee

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

Times of Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Job Summary:

• Must be able to demonstrate basic operation of energy management computer.
• Follows the preventive maintenance program schedule.
• Prepares reports on the preventive maintenance program.
• Responsible for good housekeeping practices in mechanical areas.
• Participate in district sponsored training programs to update knowledge and skills.
• Performs other duties assigned by the Building and Grounds Manager.

Qualifications:

• Possess or be capable of securing and maintaining federal CFC licenses.
• Ability to maintain a preventive maintenance program.
• Possess safety habits and skills for performing maintenance work.
• Basic knowledge of electricity and plumbing.
• Knowledge to diagnose and repair small electric motors and pumps.
• Must be capable of understanding instructions and physically able to perform assigned tasks.

Working Conditions:

Is under the supervision of the Building and Grounds Manager.

Daily activities are directed by the Lead Preventive Maintenance person and the Night Foreman.

Terms of Employment

Salary and benefits to be established by the agreement between the Board of Education and the District 211 Operations Maintenance Group.
