Preventive Maintenance Service Sales

Location: St. Cloud area

MMC is seeking a proactive, influential communicator that drives top line revenue and has a strong desire to close deals. MMC's Service Department is the largest mechanical service department in Minnesota.

This individual will play a vital role in the expansion of our client base, drive revenue growth, and build relationships with new customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive MMC's annual growth of our preventive maintenance contracts and other recurring services business
  • Establish contact with potential qualified buyers of preventive maintenance services by diligently scheduling sales calls, following up on leads quickly after they're identified, and helping to execute outlined marketing strategies.
  • Determine customer needs by conducting site surveys and reviewing your findings with the appropriate customer personnel.
  • Prepare and present effective proposals that offer solutions to mechanical service needs.
  • Contribute to the pricing approach of preventive maintenance agreements.
  • Maintain and report on MMC's sales business plan and attend monthly sales call.
  • Develop and maintain an active proposal pipeline to support the established sales business plan.
  • Develop caring and enduring customer relationships that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.
  • Support colleagues and other APi Group teams in their initiatives as they relate to your territory and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Lead customer presentations, "lunch and learns", and other relationship-building activities.
  • Continually develop your understanding of all MMC's pricing strategies, worksheets, and contract terms.
  • Work closely with MMC's Mechanical Inspection Sales Leader to align support with priorities.
  • Consistently evaluate if you're "getting the right work with the right customers."
  • Other duties as assigned.
Specific Requirements:
  • May require bending, stooping or kneeling
  • May require light lifting of storage boxes, packages, etc.
  • Navigate stairs and ladders as needed for access within various facilities.
Job Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in direct sales and territory development for mechanical service, or as an HVAC services manager/coordinator.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to create and deliver client presentations and respond to questions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Dynamics CRM).
  • Possess a valid driver's license; in accordance with Company policy.
  • Ability to work effectively collaboratively within a team.
Your success will be measured by your achievement of these objectives:
  • Meeting or exceeding individual new preventative maintenance contract sales, proposals, and customer connections goals and activity.
  • Being a relentless pursuer of knowledge about emerging technologies in the life safety industry, including updated policies and regulations in your market.
  • Having a minimum of one face-to-face visit with an existing customer per week.
  • Your commitment to speaking with customers with aged receivables approaching 120 days.
  • Actively participating in at least one local trade organization.
  • Being a regular participant in the Learning and Development opportunities available through MMC and APi Group.
  • Tracking all customer connections, proposals, and wins in MMC supported customer relationship management (CRM) system.
