PM Maintenance Technician|North Vernon, IN|HIRING IMMEDIATELY |

 

Compensation Includes:

Position Overview:

 

This position will be responsible for proactively maintaining operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Will proactively utilize approved preventive maintenance procedures.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain all production machines and plant facility's mechanical equipment.
  • Detects and diagnoses mechanical failures, including pneumatic and hydraulic malfunctions of equipment, repairs and replaces as necessary.
  • Utilizes precision measuring tools/devices, hand tools and testing instruments to ensure equipment installation and alignment are within OEM specifications.
  • The ability to read and understand mechanical prints, BOM data, and technical diagrams for the installation and repair of equipment.
  • Repairs parts that require minor fabrication work to include use of welding equipment, lathe, Bridgeport, and powered saw when needed.
  • Completes oil and lube cycles on all equipment at the manufacturers recommended intervals.
  • Completes all documentation in Maintenance Connection including WR and PM documents.
  • Utilizes sonic leak detection equipment to diagnose and repair any air leaks on all equipment and throughout the facility.
  • Maintains housekeeping in areas of assigned responsibility to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Performs other related duties to contribute to the success of the operation as assigned, including but not limited to equipment tooling, changeovers, and equipment startups.

 

Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalency
  • 3-5 years industrial field related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical devices and apparatus.
  • Mechanical skills to include experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to utilize hand tools and power tools for repair of mechanical systems.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts and boom lifts.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, decision making ability and mathematical knowledge.
