Help empower students to make healthy choices and build brighter futures as a Prevention Specialist.
Schedule: 3 days/week; school hours; approximately 15-20 hours/week
The Prevention Specialist plays a key role in delivering school-based prevention programming that supports the well-being and resilience of elementary and middle school students. This position partners closely with school staff to connect students to helpful resources, respond to concerns with care, and contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment. You’ll be part of a collaborative team focused on early intervention, education, and promoting overall wellness.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging prevention programs and presentations in classroom settings
- Support students in identifying and accessing appropriate school and community resources
- Partner with school personnel to respond to student disclosures and potential risk concerns
- Complete timely and accurate documentation and monthly billing
- Participate in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development
- Attend team meetings and contribute to program growth and effectiveness
- Foster a respectful, compassionate, and team-oriented environment
- Maintain reliable attendance and fulfill additional duties as assigned
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
• Mental Health related field preferred
Work Experience/Training/Additional Requirements:
- A valid, unrestricted driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
