JOB SUMMARY
Produce prices and structures for commercial prospects as well as manage internal curves for residential markets.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for:
- Understanding incoming commercial and industrial prospects for pricing power and gas
- Using Spark's policies procedures and tools to complete pricing models with that data
- Communicating price information to requestor or any missing data
- Also complete directed research into the market rules settings and policies of particular ISOs and gas markets and integrate any updates into Spark's pricing models
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in a numerical field preferred or relevant work experience
- Must demonstrate problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel Outlook
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments with competing deadlines
- Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written and interpersonal skills
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Exposure to Retail or Wholesale Power & Gas markets
- Running financial models
- Programming in Python in particular Pandas and NumPy
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel Understanding Excel VBA and macros but not necessarily writing new ones
ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Ability to meet highest attendance requirements and perform multiple tasks concurrently
- Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
- Could involve some lifting up to 20 pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time without much movement
- Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines
