About the Role

HumCap’s client in the industrial distribution industry is searching for a Pricing Analyst. With a 75+ year legacy of service in Texas, this family owned company has experienced exciting growth. In the past 5 years they have increased revenue 3X and employ over 400 people. The company has a vision to grow to $1 billion in revenue and continue as a family owned company with the values of faith, family, and service at their core. This is a hybrid role in Las Colinas, TX.

We are searching for a detail oriented and strategic Pricing Analyst to support financial performance and competitive positioning. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, solid business acumen, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. The Pricing Analyst will play a key role in analyzing market dynamics, developing pricing strategies, and ensuring alignment between purchasing and pricing.

**This is NOT a data analyst role.**

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
  • Analyze product movement, customer purchasing patterns, and vendor cost increases
  • Develop and implement pricing policies aligned with business objectives
  • Partner with the Pricing Manager and Regional Managers to establish pricing strategies by region, customer type, and customer size
  • Maintain accurate pricing and cost files
  • Collect and manage market pricing intelligence to support competitive positioning
  • Prepare competitive price comparisons and perform detailed analysis
  • Monitor pricing trends and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure alignment between purchasing and pricing, including timely updates when vendor costs change
  • Manage special pricing agreements with key customers
  • Develop a strong understanding of products and services to support informed pricing decisions
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in pricing administration
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Prophet21 (preferred)
