BOOST LLC is a management consulting firm built specifically for government contractors. We provide comprehensive back-office support across accounting and finance, contracts and procurement, pricing, human resources, recruiting, and cybersecurity compliance. Our team brings deep GovCon expertise across all of these disciplines, partnering with clients at every stage of their growth.

About the Role

Our Contracts, Procurement, and Pricing team is hiring a Pricing Consultant to support our portfolio of clients. This is a client-facing role for someone who already knows GovCon pricing, can work independently, and can deliver accurate, compliant work in a fast-moving environment. You will support multiple clients at once, shift between priorities, and be responsible for producing solid work from start to finish.

This role is a strong fit for someone who is comfortable owning pricing assignments cradle-to-finish, can work through ambiguity, and knows how to balance compliance, quality, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Client services delivery

  • Build pricing volumes and other pricing support materials for proposals, bids, and contract modifications for multiple clients.
  • Review client inputs, cost assumptions, and supporting documentation to ensure pricing is complete, reasonable, and compliant.
  • Analyze direct cost elements including labor, materials, and ODCs.
  • Evaluate indirect rates, escalation assumptions, and other pricing factors.
  • Perform cost and price analysis, including cost realism and price reasonableness assessments.
  • Review subcontractor cost proposals and support competition and documentation requirements as needed.
  • Proactively identify pricing risks, gaps, and areas with limited support — escalate early to prevent larger issues.
  • Help clients and their internal teams understand pricing issues, assumptions, and tradeoffs.
  • Support negotiations related to pricing when needed.
  • Interface with DCAA and support audit requests or pricing reviews as required.

Client engagement management

  • Build strong client relationships by understanding business needs and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage multiple assignments and deadlines across different clients and proposals simultaneously.
  • Maintain organized workpapers and documentation so pricing files are supportable and audit-ready.
  • Maintain proactive communication with internal team members and business unit leadership.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means you can step into complex pricing work, get up to speed quickly, and produce accurate, compliant, well-supported deliverables with minimal oversight. You know how to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and identify issues early — before they lead to rework, audit risk, or proposal challenges.

  • Client confidence — clients trust your work and rely on you as a knowledgeable, responsive partner.
  • Compliant, audit-ready deliverables — pricing files are well-supported, documented, and defensible.
  • Proactive risk management — issues are surfaced early, not discovered at submission or audit.
  • Multi-client execution — you manage competing deadlines across engagements without losing quality or detail.
  • Clear communication — clients and internal teams understand your analysis, assumptions, and recommendations.
  • Contract management – this role will learn full life cycle management including negotiating NDAs, TAs, and other contracts terms as well as administer contract actions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; Associate's degree with 10+ years; or equivalent combination of credentials and experience.
  • At least 7 years of federal government proposal and modification estimating and pricing experience. General finance or accounting experience does not substitute for GovCon pricing depth.
  • Hands-on experience building compliant pricing responses in a federal contracting environment, including full pricing volumes.
  • Strong working knowledge of GovCon pricing requirements and applicable regulations, including FAR, DFARS, SBA, and DCAA expectations.
  • Direct experience with cost and price analysis, cost realism assessments, and price reasonableness evaluations.
  • Experience supporting multiple proposals, clients, or business units simultaneously.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. Active security clearance is not required.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting both established government contractors and commercial companies entering the GovCon space.
  • Proficiency in GovCon-specific pricing and ERP tools such as Unanet, Deltek Costpoint, IBM Cognos, or government-standard pricing templates (e.g., SF 1411, DD 1861).
  • Familiarity with DCAA audit processes and incurred cost submissions.
  • Relevant certifications reflecting pricing, contracts, or federal acquisition knowledge.

Role requirements

  • Technical depth — you know GovCon pricing regulations cold and can apply them accurately across a range of contract types and client environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills — you can build, audit, and troubleshoot detailed pricing models from scratch — not just populate templates.
  • Analytical judgment — you challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and speak up when numbers don't add up or supporting data is lacking.
  • Independent execution — you manage your own workload across shifting priorities and produce accurate work without excessive oversight.
  • Client communication — you explain pricing assumptions and risks clearly to non-pricing audiences and maintain responsive, professional relationships.
  • Attention to detail — you stay organized and keep work moving even when priorities shift and information is incomplete.
  • Self-direction in a remote environment — you manage competing priorities independently and keep engagements moving forward without close supervision.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary: $110,000–$135,000 (commensurate with experience).
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • 100% remote with up to 5% domestic travel.
  • Exposure to a wide range of GovCon clients, contract types, and pricing environments.
  • Professional development and growth opportunities within a scaling firm.
  • Collaborative, supportive team with deep GovCon expertise.
