Pricing Lead (SSO Division - Location: Irvine, CA)
Position Summary
The Pricing Lead is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and evaluating data on products, costs, and markets to support development and presentation of appropriate price and bid strategy. Supports SSO Military Sales and Operational personnel. Interaction with division and Aerospace Group personnel. May interact with Direct Customers. Reports to Marketing Leader. Will monitor and optimize pricing strategy through process control and variance analysis.
SCOPE/SUPERVISION AND INTERACTION:

Essential Functions:
- Quotes new and continuing business opportunities, including TINA proposals and supporting Government audits (DCMA, DCAA, Military direct) when required.
- Leads effective price reviews on large opportunities with cross-functional divisional staff teams. Assists in sales closure strategy.
- Recommends appropriate prices based on analysis of market climate and competition, product life cycle, and division product rationalization strategy.
- Evaluates cause and effect with pricing, volume, cost, competition, distribution, and segmentation. Creates and executes Corrective Action Plans.
- Effectively models value proposition segments to define pricing strategy on new product launches. Documents customer ROI and payback and assists in development of sales communication of new product price strategy.
- Maintains military product knowledge and regularly monitors industry pricing practices; particularly for major competitors and distributors. Understands current economic conditions and financial implications for division. Understands value proposition of products against competition, competing alternatives, and internal product offering.
- Develops related software programs or other business models to assist in pricing, cost, and data analysis. Frequently concentrates on collecting and analyzing data and developing support software tools to assist in that process.
- Understands acquisition, brand, and channel strategies and integrates pricing to support them. Analyzes price change indicators (pressure curves, order entry, PPV, raw material economics) for timing and need of price adjustments.
- Contributes to ensure the pricing improvement board is up to date
- Provides management with monthly metrics (win/loss tracking, quote variance to guidelines, sell price trends, speed to quote, etc.)
Qualifications:
Four-year degree, preferably in Business Discipline, Data Science, Engineering, or Engineering Technology. MBA desired.
Minimum five (5) years Pricing experience in a FAR/ DFAR environment, preferably in the Aerospace Defense Market.
Familiarity with Commercial Item products/ services procured under FAR Part 12, CSPR require, and/or DCAA/ DCMA audit background preferred.
Demonstrated experience in change management. Willing and capable of facilitating change in an organization.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications, Salesforce)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving /resolution skills and a team focus
