Job Description: Senior Data Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Manager (Pricing) to serve as a hands-on data science and analytics leader, partnering with the Pricing organization to drive margin expansion, improve visibility, and enable data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics solutions.
This role will serve as the primary Data Science and Business Intelligence (BI) leader supporting pricing workflows, including dashboard development, performance reporting, and scalable analytics tools.
The ideal candidate will lead through influence, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, establish analytics standards, and ensure that pricing teams have access to reliable, actionable insights through Power BI solutions, Python-based data pipelines, and advanced analytical techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analytics Leadership & Functional Management
  • Serve as the functional analytics leader for the Pricing department, translating business priorities into a scalable analytics roadmap and execution plan.
  • Establish and maintain standards for key pricing metrics, including margin, price realization, and pricing overrides.
  • Define dashboard governance standards and reporting cadences across Pricing stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Pricing, Category Management, Sales leadership, IT, and Data teams to prioritize, develop, deliver, and maintain analytics solutions.
  • Drive the adoption of analytics products and establish best practices to support data-driven pricing decisions.
2. Power BI & Dashboard Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards to monitor pricing performance, margin trends, and operational activities.
  • Build dashboards to track progress, completion status, exceptions, and other key operational metrics.
  • Develop semantic models and governed datasets to ensure consistent reporting, minimize report duplication, and enable self-service analytics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop executive-level dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Continuously enhance dashboards based on stakeholder feedback, business requirements, and user adoption.
3. Data Science & Python Development
  • Leverage Python to develop repeatable analytics workflows, including data preparation, statistical modeling, anomaly detection, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
  • Build automated data pipelines and analytical templates to reduce manual processes and improve the timeliness, accuracy, and reliability of pricing insights.
  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to identify margin leakage, evaluate pricing performance, and uncover opportunities for profitability improvement.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations for Pricing and Category Management teams.
  • Develop scalable analytical solutions to support pricing strategy, governance, and business decision-making.
4. Data Quality & Business Enablement
  • Partner with Master Data and business teams to improve data integrity, accuracy, and usability.
  • Ensure product attributes and category structures support effective pricing segmentation, reporting, and maintenance.
  • Design and implement tracking mechanisms and reporting solutions to support data cleanup initiatives.
  • Identify data quality issues and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement sustainable improvements.
5. Analytics Tooling, Scalability & Pricing Platform Support
  • Support the evaluation, implementation, and enhancement of pricing platforms and analytics integrations.
  • Ensure pricing data can be effectively integrated with Business Intelligence tools, including Power BI, and other analytics platforms.
  • Develop standardized and repeatable reporting packages for leadership meetings and business reviews.
  • Ensure pricing metrics and reporting solutions align with profitability goals and strategic business initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve analytics scalability, reporting efficiency, and integration across enterprise systems.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
Technical Skills
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, semantic layer design, dashboard development, and performance optimization.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data analytics and automation, including experience with Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter Notebooks, and production-ready analytical workflows.
  • Experience developing automated data pipelines, scalable analytics solutions, and enterprise reporting frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, forecasting, anomaly detection, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience creating dashboards and tracking mechanisms for operational processes and data completeness initiatives.
  • Experience integrating analytics solutions with enterprise systems and pricing platforms.
  • Familiarity with BI tool interoperability and enterprise data integration requirements.
Business & Domain Expertise
  • Experience supporting Pricing, Revenue Management, or Commercial Analytics functions within a multi-branch or multi-region organization.
  • Strong understanding of pricing governance concepts, including pricing overrides, discount controls, margin analysis, and margin leakage identification.
  • Ability to translate pricing strategies and business objectives into actionable analytics solutions.
  • Experience developing pricing performance metrics, profitability reporting, and executive-level dashboards.
  • Understanding of master data management, product attributes, category structures, and pricing segmentation.
Leadership & Communication Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives through influence and functional management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across Pricing, Sales, Category Management, IT, and Data teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical findings into meaningful business insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to establish analytics standards, drive adoption, and deliver scalable reporting solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and business initiatives.
