Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Location: Manhattan, NY, 10019
Job Type: Per Diem
Contract Length: Per Diem/Part Time
Pay Range: $17.5-19/hr.
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.
Duties: - Provide habilitation services in accordance with each client's individualized service plans (CFA, ISP, Habilitation Plan)
- Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and cleaning
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
- Encourage and support participation in community activities, leisure, work, and the exercise of personal rights
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements: - High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of direct one-on-one care experience with the developmentally disabled population
- Basic computer skills for data entry required
- Must obtain the following prior to starting: BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association, TB Test and OPWDD Orientation
- Must be physically able to assist with lifting (25–50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods
- Ability to remain alert and awake during all shifts
