Priest Chaplain at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA. This position is part-time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

The Roman Catholic Priest Chaplain is an ordained priest granted faculties by the local Catholic Bishop. As an integral part of the Spiritual Care Department, he ministers to the religious, spiritual, and emotional needs of patients, families and staff of St. Jude Medical Center OR St. Joseph of Orange, placing special emphasis on the sacramental needs of Catholic patients. The priest chaplain reports to the Director of the Spiritual Care Department.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master''s Degree in Theology/Spirituality/Pastoral Ministry.
  • Coursework/Training: Completed (preferred) or in the process of completing 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
  • Within 3 years of hire: National Chaplain Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Several years of pastoral experience following ordination.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate''s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
