Primary Care Family Practice Medical Assistant

q-Health Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant with Family Practice / Primary Care or Internal Medicine experience to work with a single physician in Dickinson, Texas. This opportunity is well suited for a Medical Assistant who is an empathetic, active listener with good communication skills and who has front desk experience.

In this position, you will:

check in patients,

obtain insurance cards, copays and outstanding balances,

assist patients with registration forms,

check patients out,

send patient prescriptions, labs, and imaging orders.

Experience with lab draws, injections, EKG, Pap smears, ear irrigation, HMO referrals, and prior authorizations for medication and imaging is a plus, but not required.

An ideal candidate has great customer service, teamwork, and multi-tasking skills. We prefer Registered/Certified Medical Assistant and Spanish fluency, but neither is required. An MA with at least 3 years experience as a Medical Assistant in a family practice/primary care office and a current CPR certificate will be competitive for this position.
