Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Physician Assistant (PA) to join our primary care outpatient clinic. The PA will provide comprehensive care across the lifespan, focusing on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and treatment of acute conditions. This role involves close collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, continuous patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed patient assessments, including histories and physical exams
Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, respiratory infections)
Provide preventive care services, including annual wellness visits, screenings, and immunizations
Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostics
Develop and manage treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
Prescribe medications in accordance with regulatory guidelines
Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, disease prevention, and treatment adherence
Perform minor in-office procedures (e.g., suturing, abscess drainage, joint injections)
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers
Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
Qualifications
Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Active state PA license (or ability to obtain)
13+ years of experience in primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine preferred
New graduates with strong clinical rotations may be considered
