Responsibilities


+ Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnosing and treating a variety of illnesses, from common colds and flu to chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension.

+ Preventive Care: Providing routine check-ups, immunizations, screening tests, and health-risk assessments.

+ Chronic Disease Management: Managing long-term conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and other chronic illnesses.

+ Referral to Specialists: Referring patients to specialists when necessary for specialized care.

+ Health Education and Counseling: Educating patients about healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and medical treatments.

+ Coordinating Care: Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and quality patient care.

+ Patient Communication: Communicating effectively with patients and their families to build trust and ensure patient understanding of their care plan.

+ Documentation: Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records.

+ Continuing Medical Education: Staying up-to-date on medical advancements and best practices to provide the best possible care.


Qualifications


+ Medical Degree (MD or DO): Completion of an accredited medical school program.

+ Residency Program: Completion of a residency in family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics.

+ Board Certification: Certification or eligibility for certification in a primary care specialty (family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics).

+ Medical License: A valid medical license to practice in the relevant state.

Expected salary after the provider has a full panel: $250,000 a year
