Position Overview

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to join an established outpatient practice in Rumford, Maine. This is an excellent opportunity to practice outpatient-only primary care in a supportive, community-focused environment while being part of a growing healthcare network.

Physicians will provide comprehensive care to adult and family medicine patients while collaborating with specialists and hospital-based providers within the Central Maine Healthcare system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic primary care
  • Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease
  • Conduct routine physical exams and wellness visits
  • Coordinate care with specialists and hospital services
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
  • Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes

 

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Eligible for Maine medical licensure
  • DEA certification or eligibility
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
