Wood Memorial Primary School is seeking a K-5 Multicategorical Classroom Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a special education position designed to meet the academic and behavioral needs of students with a wide range of abilities. This teacher would be responsible for adapting curriculum, creating Individualized Education Plans, and collaborating with general education teachers, as well as parents, to ensure each student is given a quality educational experience.
Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Special Education
Job Responsibilities
- Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to the diverse needs of students
- Attend to and teach daily functional and social skills
- Apply behavior intervention strategies and develop individualized behavior plans when necessary
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Draft and implement legally compliant IEPS
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress
- Provide guidance and resources to support general education teachers
- Supervise, guide, and direct the daily activities of instructional aides and paraprofessionals
- Maintain confidentiality
