Primary School Substitute Teacher

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Primary School is seeking personable and enthusiastic professionals fluent in English, French, German, Spanish or Chinese, to serve as substitute teachers for grades 3K – 5.

Substitutes are booked on an on-call basis as needed for half day, full day, and extended subbing schedules throughout the school year.Please note there is a specific need at this time for substitute teachers who speak Chinese and German.The ideal candidates will have strong classroom management skills, familiarity with hands-on teaching practices, relevant experience with primary school students, and the ability to teach multiple academic subjects. We provide substitute teachers with as much advance notice as possible, a lesson plan from the classroom teacher, administrative support, and competitive compensation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience teaching, tutoring and/or working with youth is preferred
• Regular and reliable attendance
