    Company Description Life Landscaping Behavioral Health operates three fully accredited and licensed treatment centers in California, providing comprehensive partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs for mental health, eating disorders, and addiction. Founded by individuals with lived experience of addiction and mental health challenges, the organization emphasizes empathy, clinical excellence, and personalized care. Programs are tailored to each individual and focus on holistic, evidence-based treatment for primary mental health, eating disorders, and dual diagnosis disorders. To support access to quality care, Life Landscaping partners in-network with major insurance providers, including Aetna, Beacon, Blue Shield, Carelon, Cigna, Health Net, Kaiser Permanente, Magellan Health, MHN, Optum, Tricare, and United Healthcare.\n
    Role Description The Primary Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA, responsible for providing direct clinical care within PHP and IOP levels of care. Day-to-day duties include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized treatment plans. The Primary Therapist manages a caseload, provides ongoing case management, coordinates care with external providers, and supports crisis intervention and safety planning as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, participating in treatment team meetings, contributing to program development, and upholding all regulatory and ethical standards in behavioral health care.\n

    • Candidates should possess strong Treatment Planning skills, including creating, implementing, and adjusting individualized, evidence-based care plans.

    • Candidates should possess Social Work and Case Management skills to coordinate services, advocate for clients, and collaborate with families and community resources.
    • \n
    • Candidates should possess expertise in Chemical Dependency treatment, including understanding addiction, recovery models, relapse prevention, and harm reduction approaches.
    • \n
    • Candidates should possess competencies in Dual Diagnosis care, integrating mental health and substance use treatment for co-occurring disorders.
    • \n
    • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field; active California clinical license or associate registration (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, ASW, AMFT, APCC) preferred.
    • \n
    • Experience providing therapy in PHP, IOP, residential, or similar behavioral health settings, with familiarity in eating disorder and primary mental health treatment considered a plus.
    • \n
    • Strong skills in clinical assessment, risk evaluation, and crisis intervention, with the ability to maintain professional boundaries and trauma-informed practice.
    • \n
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, proficiency in electronic health record documentation, and the capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
