About Greater Boston Addiction Center
Greater Boston Addiction Center, located in Needham, Massachusetts, provides clinical treatment services for individuals in recovery.
The Opportunity
Greater Boston Addiction Center is seeking a Primary Therapist to join its Clinical team. This is a full-time, onsite role with a days schedule, supporting individual and group therapy across outpatient, PHP, and IOP levels of care.
What You'll Do
Provide individual and group therapy in an outpatient, PHP, or IOP setting
Complete thorough clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Facilitate structured and engaging group therapy sessions across levels of care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system
Ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations and HIPAA standards
Manage crisis situations and de-escalation to ensure patient safety
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary care team, including coordination with families and external providers
Support relapse prevention strategies and recovery-oriented care planning
Manage an assigned caseload with strong organization and follow-through
Requirements
What You Bring
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
Licensure preferred: LADC, LMHC, LCSW, or LICSW
Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches, including CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, including experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards (DPH, BSAS, Joint Commission preferred)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and rapport-building skills with diverse patient populations
Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple cases
Cultural competency and ability to work with individuals from varied backgrounds
Flexibility and a team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred
EMDR certification preferred
Benefits
Compensation and Schedule
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite | Days
Benefit: Paid Time Off, Medical Insurance Stipend
