Primetime Afterschool Site Assistant (Part-Time, Seasonal)

Position Summary The Primetime Site Assistant works directly with school-age children, leading activities, supporting program operations, and promoting YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. This is a part-time position that follows the school-year calendar.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in daily educational, recreational, and fitness activities
• Lead small groups of up to 15 children
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming program environment
• Support positive behavior management and YMCA character development
• Communicate effectively with families, staff, and school personnel
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma required; coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred
• Experience working with children or youth programs preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
• Reliable transportation required
