We are looking for a Principal Accountant to join our Small Business Advisory (SBA) team with a focus on High Net Worth clientele in the Buffalo, New York area.Responsibilities Develop and manage client relationships and identify new business opportunities contributing to growth and development.Collaborate with engagement teams to successfully serve high net worth clients across a broad spectrum of businesses.Handle tax compliance, research, correspondence, and planning activities.Develop an understanding of clients' business needs and produce clear and concise working papers.Analyze a variety of situations or data requiring evaluation of multiple factors, including current business trends.Build effective working relationships with internal and external clients.Assist with client acquisition and retention, including cross‑selling services.Support special projects such as budgeting, cash flow projections, tax planning, and sales tax matters.Deliver projects and engagements on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.Lead, train, and mentor staff, provide oversight on client engagements, and deliver evaluative feedback.Qualifications A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.CPA or EA certification.At least seven years of recent CPA firm experience.Demonstrated ability to provide mentoring and leadership to a team.Proven track record of developing and sustaining business relationships to grow the firm's client base.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Outlook.Willingness and ability to travel as needed.Hours of Operation Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. Summer hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday, with a flexible Friday schedule as per firm policy.
