POSITION OVERVIEW
As a
Principal Application Engineer, your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Develop and evaluate KPI results and drive innovation and continuous improvement through data-driven decisions and actions.
- Leverage semiconductor packaging expertise, including 2.5D, 3D, HBM, and CoWoS, to accelerate material testing and test vehicle development.
- Serve as the primary technical interface with leading-edge customers.
- Address and resolve customer issues related to product implementation, functionality, and performance.
- Support application engineering activities across Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and other business units.
- Manage a small 2 4 person Application Engineering team and ensure successful project deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate
Principal Application Engineer who enjoys their work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal
Principal Application Engineer would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of semiconductor packaging or process experience.
- People management experience.
- Strong understanding of current and emerging semiconductor packaging technologies.
- Experience with 2.5D and 3D semiconductor packaging.
- Knowledge of advanced packaging technologies such as HBM and CoWoS.
- Proven ability to work independently and lead technical discussions with customers.
- Strong customer-focused communication and relationship-building skills.
