Job Summary (List Format) Principal Architect, Field Technology & Endpoint Solutions
- Lead the definition and execution of target-state architecture, technical standards, and long-term strategic roadmap for mobility, endpoint, and field-technology platforms supporting asset management, engineering, maintenance, and operations.
- Design secure, resilient, and interoperable endpoint environments (e.g., rugged devices, kiosks, shared endpoints) to ensure connectivity, productivity, and security for frontline and operational teams, including in offline and intermittent connectivity scenarios.
- Develop enterprise-grade architecture standards and reusable design patterns for various device types including corporate, rugged, shared, kiosk, and specialized operational endpoints.
- Architect end-to-end field mobility solutions supporting field operations such as maintenance, inspections, engineering, and asset monitoring.
- Create scalable enterprise integration patterns connecting field/mobile solutions with core systems like EAM, ERP, GIS, ITSM, identity, and document management.
- Define and implement secure architecture across Unified Endpoint Management (UEM/MDM), device compliance, application delivery, Zero Trust Access, Conditional Access, and endpoint protection.
- Design network resilience and connectivity solutions leveraging Wi-Fi, cellular, private LTE/5G, VPN, and prioritize offline-first architectures ensuring robust field data synchronization.
- Assess, rationalize, and optimize fragmented mobility platforms, applications, and endpoint device ecosystems for modernization, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical governance, lead solution reviews, and conduct vendor and technology evaluations to ensure alignment with enterprise mobility initiatives.
- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams-including engineering, operations, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and enterprise architecture-to maximize operational reliability and frontline worker productivity.
- Utilize 8+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior architecture role in a complex, large-scale enterprise environment.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in UEM/MDM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, Jamf, Ivanti) and multi-OS/hardware environments.
- Exhibit advanced knowledge of security, identity, Conditional Access, Zero Trust, and compliance frameworks for endpoint management.
- Possess strong enterprise integration, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills to translate operational field requirements into robust architectural solutions.
