Construction Scheduler
Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Construction Scheduler to support major rail and transit programs. In this role, you will lead the development, integration, and analysis of complex schedules, ensuring alignment across design, construction, and third partystakeholders. You will play a critical role in identifying risks, supporting strategic decision making, and maintaining schedule integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a team of schedulers working on large rail and transit projects.
- Develop integrated program schedules using Primavera based Critical Path Method (CPM) incorporating input and schedules from designers, contractors, and third party partners.
- Analyze schedule and scope changes, identify delays, and provide recommendations to project teams and executive leadership.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate reporting, risk identification, and forecasting.
- Develop, update, and analyze detailed execution schedules for multiple concurrent projects.
- Establish baseline schedules, reviewing durations, logic, resources, costs, cost curves, and resource histograms.
- Review periodic CPM schedule updates and prepare detailed comparison and variance reports.
- Perform earned value analyses and support schedule change management, including change order reviews.
- Conduct Time Impact Analyses (TIA) to evaluate potential delays and their impacts.
- Evaluate and recommend schedule recovery strategies
- Perform and evaluate what if scenario analyses.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience developing and managing construction schedules for major rail or transit programs.
- At least 5 years of rail field construction experience.
- Strong proficiency in CPM scheduling and Primavera.
- Experience with project financial forecasting.
- Demonstrated expertise in change order and extension of time analysis.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional and multi-project teams within large, complex programs.
- Strong reporting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience in rail/ transit construction and/or project management.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
