Summary:
Provides technical leadership in design, development, and implementation of backup power systems, comm rooms, data/control centers, and alarm system deliverables.
Focuses on electrical design of power systems within company facilities, requiring a State of California Registered Professional Electrical Engineer.
Manages building upgrades/replacements for IT-operated facilities.
Works with other architect teams to ensure power systems meet operational needs.
Acts as technical lead for critical facility team, engineering team, and project management teams.
Responsibilities:
Directs critical facility team in preparation of battery, power board, generator, facility alarming, and facility upgrades.
Oversees power system architecture and design of technology solutions supporting business requirements on projects.
Engages with clients to develop power solutions and ensure delivery is aligned with technical/logic design requirements.
Provides advanced consulting and guidance of power system requirements during IT project phases.
Ensures successful implementation of power systems in complex client environments, on time, in scope, and within budget.
Leads integration of client requirements and works with critical facility team to create power system design models.
Identifies and implements process improvements at the department level.
Presents power system project scopes and budgets, making recommendations for project/program approval.
Identifies developmental needs of others and coaches and mentors to improve their knowledge or skills.
Partners with critical facility team to develop and maintain technical standards, design patterns, and roadmaps.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or job-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT-Information Technology engineering design, or a Master's degree and 8 years of experience in IT engineering design and/or technical project implementation.
Experience with multi-tier enterprise technology environments.
Experience in enterprise architecture environments.
Preferred Skills:
Registered Professional Electrical Engineer.
