LOCATION: West Texas, New York, Louisana, Washington, or Indiana preferred but remote candidates will be considered. Expect 20-30% travel involved for all states.
DURATION: 8+ month contract, high chance of extension
RATE RANGE: Pay rate: Market rate, target $115-155/hr
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Principal Data Center Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) Engineer ensures every Fluidstack facility has the bones to house extreme-density compute safely and sustainably. You will translate performance goals into site plans, structural frames, and fit-outs that accelerate build schedules and cut embodied carbon.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
" Manage all aspects of the CSA system for data centers.
" Create strategy for data center CSA design and deployment.
" Develop CSA design standards for data centers.
" Develop and maintain the basis of design, master specification and master drawings.
" Lead site due-diligence, geotechnical assessment, and permitting strategy.
" Create architectural layouts optimized for hot-aisle/cold-aisle, liquid-cooling manifolds, and service corridors.
" Analyze structural loads for high-mass DLC racks / air cooled racks, immersion tanks and seismic compliance.
" Specify fire-rating, floor finishes, acoustics and envelope insulation standards.
" Coordinate with Construction to prefab modular MEP skids and minimize on-site disruption.
" Willing and able to travel domestic and international to support projects (20% travel expected).
