We empower artists with the products, resources, services, and content required to take control of their careers and connect more deeply with fans. Available in over 60+ countries, TIDAL continues to help artists break down economic barriers to continue creating what's next in culture. TIDAL is part of Block, Inc. (NYSE: SQ), a global technology company with a focus on financial services.

The Role

TIDAL design is a small, nimble team building at the intersection of music, technology, and culture—shipping across uploads, streaming, AI-powered creative tools, and financial services that connect artists directly with their audiences in 60+ countries.

We're looking for a Principal Product Designer to set the vision and quality bar across TIDAL's product and brand ecosystem. You will be a foundational design voice on a small team where your work will have outsized impact—shaping not just pixels but the future of how artists build careers. You'll drive complex projects from concept to ship, influence strategy, and directly elevate the craft of everyone around you.

You Will

  • Define and drive long-term product vision and design strategy across TIDAL's key product areas
  • Lead the most complex, ambiguous design initiatives end-to-end—from early exploration through shipped experiences
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and ML/AI leadership to shape roadmaps and influence business strategy
  • Set the bar for design excellence by defining systems, standards, and quality benchmarks at scale
  • Pioneer AI-driven design approaches that expand team capabilities and accelerate velocity
  • Mentor designers through feedback, critique, and knowledge sharing
  • Identify new opportunities for the business and act on them

You Have

  • 8+ years of Product Design experience with a portfolio demonstrating high craft and systems thinking
  • Graphic design skills, working with building and extending brand for 360 activations and social to have cohesion across brand and product.
  • Experience developing long-term product vision that informs roadmaps across a brand or multiple products
  • Experience shipping impactful, strategic work autonomously—from multi-year visions to iterative releases
  • Expertise defining design systems and standards that promote cohesive experiences at scale
  • Influence and partnership skills as a trusted peer to leadership
  • Fluency with AI and new technologies—pioneering new approaches and identifying where AI unlocks creative or business potential
  • A passion for music, artists, and the creative economy
  • Comfort operating on a small, fast-moving team where you wear many hats
