Scotland Elementary School is seeking an outstanding educational leader to become the next Principal of our PreK-6 school.

Nestled in the quiet rural community of Scotland, Connecticut, our school serves fewer than 100 students and offers something increasingly rare in education-the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of every child. Our small size allows for individualized learning, strong partnerships with families, and a close-knit culture where relationships matter.

Following the retirement of a highly respected principal, we are looking for a leader who will honor the strong foundation already in place while guiding the next chapter of instructional excellence. The successful candidate will inspire teachers, champion student achievement, and help elevate curriculum and instruction while preserving the caring, family-centered culture that makes Scotland Elementary School so special. We are looking for a partner to help innovate learning for all of our learners through the strengthening of staff and their development. The retiring principal has also committed to assisting with the transition through January, helping ensure the next principal begins with confidence and continuity.

This position is a shortened year position (although still a 1.0 FTE). Principal work schedule is 215 days a year. Flexibility allows for 6 weeks off in the summer.

Starting Salary range $112,000-$130,000
